Open Call Industries, under the guidance of Wynand van Vollenstee, and business woman, Mariaan du Plessis, proudly offers the first festival of its kind: The Wêlakapêla Kids Festival.
This multicultural festival will take place on the 11th & 12th of May, at the Ruimsig Atletiekstadion in Johannesburg, and is specifically aimed at children and families. The goal of this festival is to enrich the youth through exposure to the wonderful and educational world of arts, such as child theatre, puppet shows, music, interactive theatre and many more. This festival is promising, and the highlight on every family`s calendar.
Top productions to be seen will include, Lollos, Tjiff & Tjaff, puppet show by Michelle Botha, The Light Warrior (theatre production about bullying), The Last Mango, gretha Pers and more. There is an enormous blow up playground, rides, mini beauty salon, haunted house, toys and candy wonderland, various stalls that only sell children’s products, food stalls and many more!
The cost is R175 per person and includes unlimited entrance to the festival grounds, main stage productions, playground, stalls, rides etc.
